Aimed at strengthening drinking water sources, this initiative seeks to empower community organizations, conserve runoff, raise groundwater levels, promote efficient water management practices, improve agricultural methods, and enhance household income, thus ensuring sustainability and resilience in waterstressed regions.

ACTIVITIES AND OUTCOMES

  • Created 41 Lakh CUM water storage via desilting and constructing check dams, significantly enhancing water availability.
  • Constructed 28 new cement check dams and over 158 recharge shafts, increasing groundwater recharge across 27 villages.
  • Desilted and revived 8 percolation tanks and 67 nalas, improving the efficiency of water conservation efforts.
  • Implemented 14,460 orchard plantations and provided drip/sprinkler sets to farmers, promoting sustainable agriculture and efficient water use.
  • Expanded irrigation to 13,538 Ha of land and installed over 380 units of Vermi compost & Amrutjal, boosting agricultural productivity and soil health.
