Water Conservation Programme

The Integrated Watershed Development Project, spearheaded by MGVS, encompasses 27 villages across Vaijapur and Kannad blocks of Aurangabad, Shrirampur of Ahmednagar district, and Amalner Block of Jalgaon District. Aimed at strengthening drinking water sources, this initiative seeks to empower community organizations, conserve runoff, raise groundwater levels, promote efficient water management practices, improve agricultural methods, and enhance household income, thus ensuring sustainability and resilience in water stressed regions.

Impact

The project markedly enhanced water resilience, elevating agricultural yields, water management, and community livelihoods in drought‐prone regions, benefiting over 20,000 residents by fostering environmental sustainability and economic growth through innovative water conservation and agricultural practices.
